This is my first post on this new blog, Liz Swanson Art. I intend this to be my personal art diary of sorts. I will share with you the progressions of my creations as well as art experiences.
I am also on Facebook - Liz Swanson Art. That page includes anything art related that a FB friend posted and I want to share because it amazed me or made me smile. This is where I sell most of my original paintings.
To date my sales have ranged from $75 to $150 per piece. Here is the first picture I ever sold - a 20x20" stretched canvas of a pink cactus rose for $150 to someone in North Carolina. A year later he also purchased my orange begonia, same size and price.
I am working on fixing my WIX website which is my virtual gallery of sorts. A high school friend (who has a PhD) pointed out that it's not user friendly when being viewed on a cell phone. My apologies - I only have a 4 year degree LOL. I am a bit of a dinosaur - I prefer my desktop over a laptop or phone.
I also have two stores on the website Zazzle.com - LizSwansonArt (all smooshed together) which
features my art and photographs...and Gossamer_Wings (note the underscore) which specializes in butterflies. Last summer I started raising Monarch and Eastern Black Swallowtail butterflies and like a proud mama I have lots of photos of my babies. Anyway, the Zazzle stores sell all kinds of stuff with my images on it - puzzles, cards, clothes, dishes, partyware, keychains etc. My commission is only 5% but every penny helps.
